Alpha Festival Berlin
Application Systems Heidelberg (ASH) and Bibble Labs to host workshops at the Alpha Festival in Berlin, Germany
Immediately following the IFA show, between September 10 and 12, 2010, Sony headquarters in the gorgeous Sony Center on Potsdamer Platz in Berlin are home to the first Alpha Festival. Over the course of three days and numerous events, indoors and outdoors, pro and semi-pro photographers, share their thoughts and enthusiasm and have a first hands-on experience with brand new equipment and software.
Just in time for the latest product announcements and upcoming events, Bibble Labs and their partner for the European market, Application Systems Heidelberg, recently released the latest update to Bibble 5 Lite and Pro: Bibble 5.1.1 which adds support for more new camera models as well as improved automatic lens detection for Sony and Panasonic RAW files.
Photo enthusiasts who wish to get a prime view on all the features and potential in Bibble 5 will have the opportunity to learn from pro-photographer Bernd Gruber from Graz, Austria. Bernd presents an in-depth workshop for beginners and more advanced users alike. Basic image editing will be covered as well as first steps in digital asset management and more advanced topics.
Workshop 1: Introduction to RAW photography and editing
Comprehensive Introduction to RAW photography with Sony cameras - learn how to use Bibble 5 for conversion and editing of digital photographs for RAW, JPEG and 16-bit TIFF images.
Workshop 2: RAW image editing and workflow optimization with Bibble 5
Live sessions showing more advanced Bibble 5 features for RAW conversion and a walk-through of more complex workflows. Learn to fully leverage Bibble 5's RAW editing and conversion power via batch processing and workflow automation.
There will be a short coffee break between both sessions in room "Berlin".
Building on practical examples and using state-of-the-art Sony equipment, the workshops explain how to get the best out of digital photographs in RAW, JPEG and 16-bit TIFF file formats. Bernd Gruber will also be happy for anyone to join him on a short photo walk through Berlin, immediately before the start of the workshops.
Samples of Bernd Gruber's work can be found here and here.
