What's so special about Sept 1st, 2006?

We announced that Bibble 5 development had begun to our customers and the public on Sept 23rd, 2006, and with that, we committed to giving a free license of Bibble 5 to anyone who purchased Bibble 4 after that day. We are reasonable people, and didn't want to cut off folks that had purchased only days before that announcement, so we've added a couple more weeks to the deadline.

I purchased from Application Systems Heidelberg or Application Systems Paris. How do I upgrade?

Our international distributors ASH and ASP are quite nice people and are happy to help. Contact them for your upgrades:

What is the upgrade policy for Bibble 5 customers?

Bibble Labs publishes updates to Bibble 5 Pro from time to time to add features, fix issues, or otherwise improve the product. Your license will remain valid for the version of Bibble 5 Pro that you purchased for the duration specified at the time your license was issued (for normal retail licenses, the license is perpetual). You will receive free upgrades to subsequent versions of Bibble Labs products in the same class of product ("Pro" or "Lite") for no less than one year from the day you receive your license, regardless of the size or content in the subsequent version. (For example, if Bibble 5.1 Pro is released 1 day after your license is issued, you will receive that upgrade totally free of charge; or if Bibble 6 is released 11 months after your license is issued, you will receive that upgrade totally free of charge.) Bibble Labs may choose to extend the one-year timeframe for particular customers or for particular upgrades at its sole discretion. You will always be able to use the version you purchased or any version to which you you receive a free upgrade so long as you own a computer capable of installing and running the software.

I downloaded a trial for a previous version of Bibble, and I'd like to try out the newest updates. Is this possible?

Each major version of Bibble 5 will automatically reset your trial period to make sure you can try out the new features. But if you need a bit longer to try out any single version, just send an email to trial@bibblelabs.com and we can extend your trial period.

I bought a boxed copy of Bibble. How do I register and unlock it?

There are three steps to registering your product to permanently unlocking it:

First, enter your Serial Number that came in your Bibble Box into the form found at bibblelabs.com/activate. That page looks like this:

Next, the product you have purchased will be shown, like in the image below:

Then enter your registration information like your name and email address, and we will email you an License Name and Code. Enter the License Name and License Code into you Bibble Labs software to permanently unlock it.

I have a license, but Bibble won't unlock with it. What can I do?

Practically all unlocking problems are due to entering either the license name or license code incorrectly, or trying to unlock the wrong product. The license name and code must both match exactly what is shown on your activation or registration email.

If you have confirmed that the both the license name and license code that are entered into Bibble match exactly what's shown on your registration email, then you might be unlocking the wrong product. Please verify that you installed and are attempting to unlock either Bibble Pro or Bibble Lite - whichever product you purchased. If you purchased Bibble Lite, then the operating system also needs to match the operating system you selected when you purchased. Bibble Pro licenses will function on any of the supported platforms.

If you have verified the license name and code are exact matches, and you are unlocking the same product you purchased, and you are still not able to unlock, please email a screenshot of the Unlock window in Bibble with your license name and code entered to support@bibblelabs.com and we will get back to you with additional help.

I can't find my license information. Where can I find that?

You can always find your license info at http://bibblelabs.com/account - just login with the email address your originally purchased with (or create a new account with that same email address if you didn't create one when you purchased).

Can I switch my Bibble Lite license from one computer type to another?

One of the key differences between Lite and Pro is that Lite is sold for a single computer system, while Pro can be switched between any of the three systems we support. Sorry to say this, but Lite license cannot be transferred from one system to another.

You can upgrade from Lite to Pro, and then get not only the other Pro features, but also the ability to move back and forth between Mac, Windows, and linux.

Just log into your account at http://bibblelabs.com/account with the email address you used when you purchased Bibble Lite. You'll see a link to upgrade your Lite to Pro in there.

I have a Bibble 5 Lite license, but have been using Bibble 5 Pro. How do I get Bibble 5 Lite?

Bibble 5 Lite was first made available When Bibble 5.1 launched on June 9th, 2010. If you have a Bibble 5 Lite license already, all you need to do is to upgrade to Bibble 5.1, which you can get here and you'll be automatically switched from Pro to Lite. The temporary upgrade to Pro using your Bibble 5 Lite license will end on June 30th, 2010.

I downloaded the trial version then purchased a license. Where can I get the full, licensed version to download?

The installers available at http://bibblelabs.com/download contain both the trial version and the full, licensed versions. There's no need to download anything else if you already have the latest version the Bibble 5 trial.

To unlock your trial version, just run Bibble 5 again, and click "Enter License Code..." button shown in the Trial Dialog box that appears each time you run Bibble 5, seen below. Then copy and paste, or carefully type in both your license name and license code as shown on your order receipt.

How do I try out both Bibble 5 Lite and Bibble 5 Pro?

Bibble 5 Lite and Bibble 5 Pro are both distributed as part of the same installer. To switch from one version to the other during your trial period, simply choose the 'Lite' or 'Pro' button on the Trial Dialog that opens up each time you run Bibble 5, as shown here:
