Presets

Presets are a great way to help speed your workflow, and make the application of similar settings of images very quick and easy.  You can save simple adjustments like boosting saturation or contrast, or you can save many adjustments at once.  You can even save and apply Keywords and other metadata like IPTC or Ratings through Presets.

The Presets are XMP files stored in your Bibble User Folder on your computer, making it easy to copy Presets from one computer to another, or to share Presets with others.

Applying & Using Presets

Applying presets has the exact same effect as if you were to adjust the various Adjustment & Metadata settings directly.  For this reason, Presets are "applied" to images, not "turned on or off".  Applying a Preset will create a new Undo step, and will make a History entry, making it easy to remove the settings applied by a Preset if the settings cause an undesired effect.

Many Presets can be applied to an image, and each subsequent Preset will replace the settings of previous Presets or adjustments with the settings contained in the last Preset.

To apply a Preset, simply select the image or images you want to adjust, then click the Preset you want to apply, or select the Preset from the Dropdown to apply it.

Presets are applied to all selected images, except when in Multi-Image mode.

To create a Preset:

1.Edit an image with the settings you want to save as a default.  You can save any image editing adjustment or any Metadata adjustment like keywords, labels, or rating.
2.Click the Add icon on the header of the Presets tool to display the Save Settings Dialog, as shown below:

3.From the Save Settings Dialog, you can pick a name for the settings, and you can select what settings to save.  This allows you to save only some of the settings from an image - perhaps just the IPTC information or just the Color Correction settings.
4.When you are done, click OK to save the Preset, and it will instantly appear in the list of Presets.

Note: The Add Presets tool operates very similarly to the Selective Copy Settings.

Managing Presets

Clicking the Manage button on the Presets tool reveals the Manage tools, allowing the following:

Show in Menu

The checkbox to the right of the Preset name determines if the Preset will show up in the Header Dropdown.  This Dropdown is visible even when the Preset window is 'Rolled up' using the disclosure triangle, and allows you to quickly pick a Preset to apply to the Active image without needing to 'Unroll' the Preset tool.
